WXRO WBEV Radio Park Event Line-up Announced

The crew from Radio Park has been busy planning for the Dodge County Fair and has another great line-up full of activities, entertainment and demonstrations. Radio Park is made possible by the planning and personnel from WXRO 95.3 FM, WBEV 1430 AM and Good Karma Brands. Radio Park is located just east of the Open Class Exhibit Building with shade trees, picnic tables, benches and an entertainment stage. Make a point to enjoy one or more of the events in Radio Park at the 2014 Dodge County Fair, August 13-17, 2014.

Wednesday thru Friday wake up with the roosters, tune-in to 95.3 FM from 6 to 9am and listen to the Rick and Bill Morning Show LIVE from the Fair.

Friday and Saturday nights put your dancing shoes on! DJ Jeff Hall will be taking requests in the Legion Beer Tent from 9 to 11:30pm, sponsored by WXRO 95.3FM and WBEV 1430AM.

Wednesday, August 13th

Learn some tips and tricks during the Brenda Murphy Idea Exchange 1 to 4:30pm with demonstrations from; Dodge County Pork Producers, Wisconsin Beef Council, Dodge County Dairy Promotion and Chef Chanse. Then it’s fun and games from 5 to 7pm in the WXRO Bash featuring a reverse raffle and an all over the road obstacle course. After the main stage enjoy music by The MadPolecats on the Radio Park Stage from 9:30 to 11:30pm.

Thursday, August 14th

Thursday is Senior Citizens day at the Fair! FREE Bingo, prizes and music by the Loco Vocals on the Radio Park Stage 1 to 4:30pm. Uncle Bill and the Barn Show LIVE featuring the Dizzy Farmer Barnlympics from 5 to 6:30pm. Then, at 7pm WXRO 95.3 FM will broadcast LIVE coverage of the annual Meat Animal Sale from the Farm Progress Arena. Finally, enjoy the music of Geoff Landon and the Wolfpack on the Radio Park Stage from 9:30 to 11:30pm.

Friday, August 15th

Cream Puff Eating Contest Win

Arrive early to get a seat for the 19th annual Celebrity Cream Puff Eating Contest.

4H has talent! Enjoy vocal and instrumental performances by area 4H youth on the Radio Park Stage starting at 1pm. The judges will score their performances for 4H awards and achievements. Then it’s fun and games till 4:30pm in Radio Park – watch or participate in; Fake Laugh Contest, Cow Tipping and Races with the world famous inflatable WXRO Cows, Blindfold Animal Draw, Hot Potato and Water Balloon Toss, Cereal Killer Game. Arrive early to get a seat for the 19th annual Celebrity Cream Puff Eating Contest. Uncle Bill will broadcast LIVE on WXRO 95.3 FM during the Barn Show as area celebrities compete against the clock. Stay for the party in Radio Park after the main stage, rock out to classic tunes by Alexis from 9:30 to 11:30pm.

Saturday, August 16th

Chelli Bri Band – A modern country band with a side of rock and roll

Get your grove on; Saturday is Music Mania day in WXRO WBEV Radio Park. Show off your best or ‘worst’ talent during the Anti-Talent Show Contest from 3 to 4pm. Laughs and prizes for; Air Guitar or Air Instrument Imitation, Lip Syncing, Arm Pit Farting, Burp the Alphabet, and any other stupid human trick you can think of. Sing to your favorite music from 4 to 5pm during Kamakaze Karaoke on the Radio Park Stage. Then it’s the local band of Chelli Bri from 5 to 11:30pm with a break during the main stage performance.

Sunday, August 17th

Fashion at the Fair? Yes, of course! The 4H Clothing Style Show on the Radio Park Stage from 1 to 1:30pm. Area youth display their clothing and fashion projects entered in the Junior Fair. Howdy there, it’s time for Hee Haw at the Fair – The Husty Players will perform skits and music reminiscent of the television show Hee Haw from 1:30 to 2:30pm. At 2:30 enjoy music by Willie’s Shadow (a tribute to Willie Nelson), and then the Swingin’ Beavers dance their way through Radio Park during their square dance demonstration from 3 to 4pm. Finally, Willie’s Shadow (a tribute to Willie Nelson) is back at 4pm.

Family fun, activities, events and prizes await you in Radio Park during the 2014 Dodge County Fair. Various events to participate in or just watch and laugh, see you at the Fair – August 13-17, 2014.
