Vic’s Auto Body Sales & Service night at the races saw 4 out of 5 divisions have clean sweeps. The modified feature had Tim Lemirande and Dan Jung swap the lead the first few circuits around the half mile as Lemirande solidly takes the lead on lap 4 when Jung gets a little loose allowing Joel Crowbridge and Dan Roedl a pass. By the halfway mark Lemirande is still out front as Matt Rechek & Jeremy Christians race into the top five. A caution on lap 16 forces Rechek to the pits with hanging sheet metal, setting up a 4 lap shootout. Lemirande stays out front on restart as Christians powers into second followed by Roedl. Christians was trying the high and low grooves to close the gap on Lemirande and was within striking distance as the checkered fell with Lemirande out front followed by Christians & Roedl. Heat winners were Christians & Roedl.

Sport mods took to the track next as Tim Sheppard moved from his 8th starting spot out to the lead by lap 2 followed by Jack Jones & Brekken Kleinschmidt. The next time by Colten Van Hierden powers into 3rd as Jeff Steenbergen follows suit. Lap 6 saw the leader spin in turns 1 & 2, putting Van Hierden in the top spot. The remainder of the race ran caution free as Steenbergen started to close the gap on the leader but time ran out giving Van Hierden a clean sweep followed by Kleinschmidt & Jeff Schmuhl.

The Late Model feature had Joe Mcgrath take the early lead followed by Tim Buhler as Taylor Scheffler & Mitch Mcgrath fight for 3rd spot. The only caution came on lap 4 as Scheffler spins in turn 4. Joe kept the top spot on the restart as Mitch took over second with Buhler trying to break up the 74 show out front. At the halfway mark the top 3 cars were all within striking distance as Joe hangs on for the win followed by Mitch & Buhler. Joe Mcgrath was the heat winner.

The Grand National feature ran green to checker as Kenny Richards motors his way into the lead on the first lap followed by brother Jeff. Dad Larry Richards & Todd Ascherien staged a side by side battle for 3rd with Richards getting the edge. The remaining race had the Richards posse keep the top three spots with Kenny crossing the line first followed by Jeff & Larry. Kenny Richards was the heat race winner.

The final feature of the night had the Street Stocks take to the track. It was anyone’s race the first few laps as Russ Davidson took top spot and was being hounded by Chad Hummelmeier and Jesse Krahn. The top 3 cars started to pull away from the field at the halfway mark as Hummelmeier was putting heat on Davidson for the lead as Krahn spun on his own. Hummelmeier was tight on Davidson bumper the next few rounds until Davidson bobbled just a bit on lap 12, just enough for Hummelmeier To move into top spot. Hummelmeier took the checkered flag followed by Krahn and Alex Crasper took home third spot. Hummelmeier also was the heat winner.

The next race at the Dodge County Fairgrounds is Sunday June 21st. Bring the kids out for some special Fathers Day events! Racing starts at 5:00.
