The Oak Ridge Boys will return to the Dodge County Fair with their four-part harmony on August 17.  Their high-energy show will delight fans during their Celebration Tour.  The Celebration Tour began last year with their induction to The Country Music Hall of Fame and the group is continuing the celebration of their career throughout their 2017 tour.  The Oak Ridge Boys previously performed at the Dodge County Fair in 1989 and 1995.  Both performances drew large crowds, and fans enjoyed that recognizable and distinctive sound that the group has shared with crowds year after year.

The Oak Ridge Boys will kick-off the 2017 Dodge County Fair concert series on Thursday, August 17 at 8:00 pm.  As always, grandstand admission is free with paid gate admission to the Fair.

Fans will enjoy The Oak Ridge Boys’ classic Gospel, Country, and Patriotic music – including more than a dozen national number one singles and over thirty top ten hits.  With a career that spans more than fifty years of tradition, The Oak Ridge Boys will share chart-toppers like “Elvira”, “Bobbie Sue”, “Dream On”, “Thank God For Kids”, “American Made”, “I Guess It Never Hurts to Hurt Sometimes”, “Fancy Free” and “Gonna Take A Lot of River”.

Bass singer, Richard Sterban, shares, “I think our stage show is one of the reasons for our continuity. We’re still having fun doing this. We love what we do. Getting on stage and bringing our music to people is still what we live for.”

The Oak Ridge Boys have performed locally at the Milwaukee Theater and the Crystal Grand Music Theater in Wisconsin Dells.  Local country music fans may have also enjoyed the unique sound of The Oaks at Country USA and other county fairs and music festivals throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest.

The group has been decorated with twelve gold, three platinum, one double platinum album, and one double platinum single.  In 2008, The Oaks were awarded the Academy of Country Music Pioneer Award.  They have also received several recognizable honors, including being inducted into The Country Music Hall of Fame, Grammy, Dove, ACM, and CMA awards to name a few.

In 2016, The Oak Ridge Boys wrote and performed “Doing it to Country Songs” with Blake Shelton.  They delighted millions when they performed with Blake at the CMT Music Awards in June 2016.  This became the most watched CMT award show ever.

Joe Bonsall, who joined The Oaks in 1973, describes the Celebration Tour, “So, we celebrate our songs, each other, our history and whatever else we feel like celebrating on any given night.  Is the tour different?  Not really.  Four Oaks singing songs … hits … some album cuts … some gospel … and we always celebrate AMERICA!”.

Concerts are free with paid gate admission to the Dodge County Fair.  Seating is available on a first come, first serve basis.  There are no advanced daily ticket sales or reserved seating.  Please reference the FAQ page on our website for additional information regarding concert seating and chair and blanket placement.
