Bring your whole family out to the Dodge County Fairgrounds and celebrate 130 years of affordable, family fun!  The Dodge County Fair and hundreds of families will take over the fairgrounds on August 16-20 — the midway will be open Wednesday through Sunday, with special daily prices and promotions.  Beaver Dam is only a short drive from Madison, Milwaukee, and the Fox Valley. More than 50,000 attendees attend the Dodge County Fair and its free concert lineup and daily entertainment.

Attend the carnival, pick a few free events or make a whole day of it!  Fair food and local favorites will be available for hungry tummies. Families are sure to find something for everyone — with more than twenty-five food trucks and concessions.

Games and rides at the midway will be provided by A&P Enterprise Shows. Single ticket prices will be sold for $1.25 per single ticket or ten tickets for $10. Rides typically take three or more tickets.  Special promotions will be offered daily at the midway. Daily admission or a season pass to the fair must be purchased.

Pig, Duck and Goat races will entertain all ages Wednesday through Sunday just south of the tents on Fairview road. Pleasure Valley Farms, from Adell, WI has been showcasing their farm animals for families since 2013. The Farm is celebrating its 150 years in the Laux family, with their grandchildren being the seventh generation on the farm.  Come celebrate a tradition. Races are scheduled at 2:00 pm, 4:00 pm, 6:00 pm and 7:30 pm on Wednesday through Saturday.  Sunday’s races will take place at 12:00 pm, 2:00 pm, 4:00 pm and 5:30 pm.  Pleasure Valley Farms will also be giving away free admission tickets to their pumpkin patch for your next visit.

Families can also meet a variety of animals from the wild at the Wild World of Animals on N Grand Avenue, scheduled throughout the weekend.  Children can get their questions answered and see animals from all over the world up close and personal.

The kids pedal tractor pull will take place from 11:30-1:00 on Friday.  Kids ages 3-12 years are welcome to compete in various age and weight classes.  The Badger State Tractor Pull will also kick off the 2017 Fair on Wednesday evening.

Additional free family-friendly entertainment will include various magic shows, game shows, youth project and animal showing and judging and two demolition derbies.
