Friday at the County Fair

Wristband Day on the Midway, Cream Puff Eating Contest, and country music duo LOCASH live in concert on the Grandstand Stage just a few of the many events scheduled on the third day of the Dodge County Fair.  Use our online schedule below to plan out your affordable family entertainment day at the Fair.

Stop to smell the flowers, participating 4-H clubs and FFA chapters were given a large planter to design and plant how they desire, keep in their community, and then bring to the Dodge County Fair. The planters will be judged and placed around the Fairgrounds for everyone to enjoy. Sponsored by; Brehm’s Wonder Creek Nursery, Ebert’s Greenhouse Village, and the Dodge County Fair Association.

The Kids Pedal Tractor Pull starts at 11:30 am in front of the grandstand. The Fairest of the Fair will be awarding kids who can pedal the farthest when pulling the mini sled. Tractors are provided, registration and weigh-in start at 11:15 am.

Fill-up on fair food for lunch and be ready at 12:00 Noon because it’s Wristband Day on the Midway! Purchase a $25 wristband and ride as many rides as you can from Noon to 5 pm. If you can’t brave all the rides or want to ride just a few then buy tickets individually for $1.25 each or 10 for $10. Visit our Midway Rides Page for more information.

After wristband day on the midway head over to Radio Park for Healthy Kids Day featuring a variety of outdoor games for kids with fun and prizes. Hosts Cale Zomer and Lezli Young announce the action while members of the audience test their skill; musical chairs, potato sack races, bean bag toss, and much more. Win great prizes from local sponsors and get up and moving with fun outdoor games hosted by WXRO 95.3FM and WBEV 1430AM.

Starting at 5 pm, get a seat for the 21st annual Celebrity Cream Puff Eating Contest. Uncle Bill will broadcast LIVE on WXRO 95.3 FM during the Barn Show as area celebrities compete against the clock.

LOCASH will fill the grandstands, pack the track area and have fans on their feet at 8 pm! All seats and standing areas on the track are FREE with paid admission to the Fair. All areas are available on a first come, first serve basis. You can stand on the track or sit on the bleachers in the grandstands. After the concert, enjoy music in Radio Park and the Legion Bar Pavilion. Move and groove to Highfield Drive on the WBEV/WXRO Radio Park Stage. The five-member group has an extensive musical background from jazz to jam band and funk to rock with all their paths leading to country. Highfield Drive expertly crafts their performances with skilled musicianship, dynamic lead vocals and harmonies, cutting-edge lighting, and down-to-earth personalities. Request your favorite tunes in the Legion Pavilion by DJ Jeff Hall from 9 to 11:30 pm sponsored by WXRO 95.3FM and WBEV 1430AM.

Gate Admission is $7 before 2 pm or $10 after 2 pm.  Age 9 and under FREE. Please no carry-ins. FREE Grandstand and Parking!

Kids age 3 to 12 compete in age and weight classes in the Pedal Pull during the Dodge County Fair. Contestants should arrive 15 minutes early for registration, pedal tractors of different sizes provided.

Animals are exhibited in the farm progress arena by adults or children wearing white pants and a white or colored shirt, belt, and close-toed shoes. Back tags will be provide and should be displayed on the back of each exhibitor.

Families are welcome to see inside the helicopter, ask the pilots questions, and take photos with the crew.  Available time of this event could vary depending on other emergencies in the area.

The Dodge County Fair Association is a State of Wisconsin Corporation formed for the purpose of operating a fairgrounds, which is presently located four (4) miles east of the city of Beaver Dam on State Highway 33 on 40 acres of land, which the Corporation owns. The Association is an IRC (Internal Revenue Code) Sec. 501(c)(3) organization. Your tax deductible contributions are appreciated to maintain buildings and grounds.
