Wisconsin Outdoor Education Expo will introduce more than 3,500 students, teachers and chaperones to the outdoors

The sixth annual Wisconsin Outdoor Education Expo will celebrate Wisconsin's outdoors and aims to inspire healthy, active youth at the Dodge County Fairgrounds May 19 and 20 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. As of 2011, the Wisconsin Outdoor Education Expo will have hosted more than 21,000 attendees.

The free event features eight "camps" or activities including: archery, wildlife and conservation heritage enrichment, camping, team building, firearm safety, fishing, sporting dog demonstrations and trail recreation. Camp coordinators tie each activity to Wisconsin educational standards and gear their camps toward fourth and fifth grade curricula. Ultimately, the Expo aims to inspire healthy, active youth who enjoy Wisconsin's beautiful outdoors.

This event, planned by the Wisconsin Outdoors Alliance Foundation, remains free due to the support of sponsors and volunteers, such as the NRA Foundation, which is a 2011 Theodore Roosevelt Sponsor, the highest level of sponsorship.
