Wisconsin Shorthorn Association (WSA) presents the 2024 Wisconsin State Open and Junior Shorthorn Show as an outlet for members to showcase the projects they have invested considerable time and money in. Spectators are welcome, and seating is available.
Top Holsteins from Dodge, Jefferson, Waukesha, Washington, and Ozaukee Counties meet for the Wisconsin Holstein District 8 show. Hosted by the Dodge County Holstein Breeders, Judge Brooks Hendrickson, will award the top Holsteins in each category.
The Midwest National Ayrshire & Regional Milking Shorthorn Judging is a premier event for Ayrshire and Milking Shorthorn breeders and exhibitors from across the Midwest. Judging will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 7:30 AM in the Horicon Bank Farm Progress Arena at the Dodge County Fairgrounds near Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.

Showmanship will be held on Monday, July 17, 2023 at 6:00 PM in the Horicon Bank Farm Progress Arena at the Dodge County Fairgrounds near Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.
4-H clubs and FFA chapters earn herdsmanship awards through designated criteria that include; care of the exhibit, appearance and attitude of the exhibitors, and preparation of the exhibit.
The crowd will roar with laughter during the Little Britches Showmanship Contest on Sunday afternoon of the Dodge County Fair. The wild and fun-filled event is held in the Farm Progress Arena just North of the Open Class Exhibit building.
Top junior and senior showmen of the dairy, beef, sheep and swine projects will compete against each other in showing their own animal, and then showing animals in two other species. Don’t miss the chance to witness this newer contest showcasing the top livestock youth.
Holstein breeders enter animals as calves and show the same animals as two-year-old cows after they've had their first calf. During the show, exhibitors parade their cows wearing formal attire. Every year, the show arena is filled to standing-room-only with spectators.
