Dave Draheim Memorial Racing this Sunday

Local dirt track drivers and crew prepare for another night of racing action this Sunday on the Horsepower Half Mile near Beaver Dam, WI. The Dodge County Speedway Association (DCSA) comprised of local race fans that organize and officiate the show. The Dodge County Fairgrounds Speedway hosts racing from several clubs throughout the year and is one of three half mile tracks in the state of Wisconsin.

Mechanics take the track this week in addition to a five divisions of heat races, features and semi-finals. DCSA recognizes racing past and celebrates with the family and friends of Dave Draheim, in the Dave Draheim Memorial. Dave enjoyed the many facets of life, but he kept racing near and dear to his heart and his family.

Dave loved to take in many races throughout the state, but there was no doubt that the Dodge County Fairgrounds Speedway was Dave’s home track and he supported it with pride! He passed the love of racing on to his family, ultimately inspiring his sons Doug and Tim to strap into a race car seat. He always wore a smile; he always had a story or could strike up a conversation with ease. It’s without doubt that he had the qualifications as a Dodge County Speedway Hall of Fame inductees a few weeks ago!

Five divisions of action featuring; IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Northern Sport Mods, Grand Nationals, Street Stocks, and the all new DCSA Dirt Late Models!

It is with great honor and our pleasure, along with the unending support of the Draheim family, and with the support of others, we celebrate another legacy of the Horsepower Half Mile that is Dave Draheim June 28th. In his honor, Street Stocks will race for an enhanced purse this night, lap bonus money (TBD) and a pit pass to a driver of a random finishing position (TBD).

Grandstands open at 3pm
Adults $10. 13-15 yr old $5. Kids 12 and under free!
Pit gate open at 1pm. Pit passes $25 or $20 with a paid DCSA Membership
