Only a couple long days and a few short nights remain until the June 10, 2017, 10 p.m., Dodge County Fair junior exhibitor registration deadline. No late entries will be accepted.

The Blue Ribbon online junior fair entry program is accessible from the Dodge County Fair Website, follow the top menu; Dodge County Fair, Exhibitor Info, and Junior Fair Exhibits. The junior fair book is now available online at the same location, as well; those interested can simply click on the project department needed, and the rules for that project and entry pop up for viewing – with the most up-to-date information.

“Previously, the fair book was printed every three years,” noted Marie Witzel, Dodge County UW-Extension 4-H youth development educator. “In addition to issues with outdated information from year to year, our challenge, recently, was we had to come up with some ideas for budget cuts in our office; after a 4-H-family survey and a lot of discussion, it was decided to join most of the other counties in the state and offer our fair book online.”

For the first time, exhibitors and parents can get everything they need for the Dodge County Fair at one online location, including the judging schedule.

More than 630 youth exhibited at the fair last year from 480 4-H families and numerous FFA organizations throughout the county. Fair volunteers and employees are looking forward to the interest expected for the 2017 event scheduled for Aug. 16-20.
