The popular country quartet, The Oak Ridge Boys will launch the 2017 Dodge County Fair concert series with an electrifying concert on Thursday evening.  The Oaks will take the stage on August 17 at 8:00 pm.  Grandstand admission is free with paid gate admission to the Fair.

The Oak Ridge Boys have been touring for 45 years and still love performing for their fans.  And these timeless artists don’t expect to slow down any time soon. Their high-energy show will provide non-stop entertainment during their Celebration Tour, which began last fall.  The tour kicked-off when the quartet was inducted into The Country Music Hall of Fame.  The Oaks join Johnny Cash, Garth Brooks, George Jones and Dolly Parton and other celebrated members of The Country Music Hall of Fame. They feel honored to join such a group of talented artists and are continuing the celebration throughout their 2017 tour. The Oaks also performed locally at the Crystal Grand Music Theater, Milwaukee Theater and Country USA.

The group’s four-part harmony will be recognizable from popular hits and chart toppers like “Elvira”, “Bobbie Sue”, “Dream On”, “Thank God For Kids”, “American Made”, “I Guess It Never Hurts to Hurt Sometimes”, “Fancy Free” and “Gonna Take A Lot of River”.  These hits are among their thirty top ten hits and one dozen national number one singles. Concert attendees can be guaranteed to recognize hit after hit, spanning their classic Gospel, County and Patriotic melodies. The group performed with the country music sensation and judge on The Voice, Blake Shelton, on stage at the CMT Music Awards in 2016.  This was the most watched CMT award show to date.

The Oaks were awarded the Academy of Country Music Pioneer Award in 2008.   They have also received twelve gold, three platinum, one double platinum album, and one double platinum single, were inducted into The Country Music Hall of Fame, and received Grammy, Dove, ACM, and CMA awards, among other credits.
