Close to seventy flea market vendors offered thousands of unique items on display at the first flea market of the season in Beaver Dam. Despite some rain showers, record attendance didn’t keep shoppers away from sorting through tables, displays and shopping at booths throughout the flea market and craft fair.

Beautifully-painted epoxy tables were just one of the unique items that customers made comment about at the May event. These exclusive, handmade tables were crafted by House of Genie, a Fort Atkinson woodcrafter.

Thumper’s Custom Design also featured their unique graphics and custom vinyl decals at the May event. Half of their sales that day were donated to Frosty’s Fosters Animal Rescue. Frosty’s Fosters is an organization that helps find displaced animals forever families in the Dodge County area. Volunteers from the organization are coordinating the flea market and craft fair this season. Attendees can further support their efforts by making purchases from the concessions stand. If you are interested in donating your time, goods or services to Frosty’s Animal Rescue and their cause, patrons should visit their website for more information.

Many more unique, local vendors are expected to exhibit at the five remaining events for the 2019 season. Close to 100 vendors will be displaying their goods indoors and outdoors throughout the summer and fall months. Shoppers can expect to find unique treasures, must-have collectibles, vintage items, handmade goods and crafts and new items from home-based businesses, as well as limited local produce. Events will be held rain or shine on Saturdays, June 15, July 20, August 24, September 21 and October 19. The free flea market and craft fair is scheduled from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Dodge County Fairgrounds. Customers should consider bringing extra shopping bags, wagons and shopping carts to transport their items home. For your convenience an ATM is available at the Space Managers Office under the Grandstand.

Interested flea market and craft fair businesses and vendors should reserve their space by contacting Maggie Haessly Drewa at Frosty’s Animal Rescue at [email protected] or leave a comment below to ask questions. Only one representative per direct-sales business area will be allowed to exhibit at each flea market. Vendors selling collectibles, antiques, or hand-made items can just show up the morning of the sale and start setting-up.
