Spectators are promised another exciting truck pull on two tracks during the final day of the Dodge County Fair. The Pernat Haase Meats 4WD Truck Pull is a free event for the whole family and is scheduled for the morning of Sunday, August 18 from 9:00-11:00 am.

Dean Leighton, President of the Badger Truck Pullers Association, encourages competitors to arrive early for this popular pull. Registration is only open during the morning of the event and fills up quickly. No online registration is accepted prior to the event. Competitors should arrive between 8:00-8:30 am for registration. Entries are limited to the first twenty-five competitors in each class. There are three sanctioned classes (Super Stock, Open Stock, and Pro-Street Diesel) and two non-sanctioned classes (Street Gas and Street Diesel). There is a $25 for non-sanctioned classes. Pullers should park their haulers on the south end of the infield.

With more than twenty years of experience, The Badger Truck Pullers Association (BTPA) have brought live action and entertainment to crowds throughout Wisconsin since 1997. Over the past two decades, BTPA has featured BTPA Super Stock and Open Stock classes and was the first group in Wisconsin to create a sanctioned class exclusively for Pro-Street Diesels.

For more information about the August 18 pull and BTPA classifications, participants should contact Dean Leighton, BTPA President, at 262-210-9004 or [email protected]

Ninety trucks competed in this popular pull last year, with more expected to participate from across southeastern Wisconsin – including Dodge, Jefferson, Racine, Rock and Walworth counties. Event title sponsor, Pernat’s, is the premier wild game processor in Dodge and Jefferson counties – with three locations in Ixonia, Juneau and Johnson Creek. Zach Parnat, Manager of Pernat’s Ixonia, runs a diesel truck with BTPA.

And if “gear heads” haven’t had enough roaring action in the morning, they can stick around for two, FREE demolition derby events in the afternoon. The Action Auto Demolition Derby will take place on Sunday from 1:00-4:00 pm, with the main event scheduled from 6:00-8:00 pm, after competitors make minor repairs to their cars, vans and trucks. Derby competitors may register for either of the demolition derby events, by contacting Action Auto Promotions, the derby organizer. In between the morning and afternoon events, families can enjoy rides on the Midway or watch the pig, duck and goat races at Noon.

These gear head events and parking are all FREE with paid gate admission to the 2019 Dodge County Fair. Daily events, shows and specials – including a free, evening concert series are scheduled for August 14-18. Attend the fair for only $5.40 per day with the purchase of a season ticket.  Daily gate admission is $7 before 12:00 pm; or $10 after 12:00 pm.  Children age nine and under are FREE.  Season tickets are only $27 in advance or $35 at the gate. Tickets can be purchased at most Dodge County Banks, Recheks Food Pride, Beaver Dam Piggly Wiggly or at the Fairgrounds Office.
