Friday at the County Fair

Wristband Day on the Midway, Cream Puff Eating Contest, and LANCO live in concert on the Grandstand Stage just a few of the many events scheduled on the third day of the Dodge County Fair.  Use our online schedule below to plan out your affordable family entertainment day at the Fair.

Stop to smell the flowers, participating 4-H clubs and FFA chapters were given a large planter to design and plant how they desire, keep in their community, and then bring to the Dodge County Fair. The planters will be judged and placed around the Fairgrounds for everyone to enjoy. Sponsored by; Brehm’s Wonder Creek Nursery, Ebert’s Greenhouse Village, and the Dodge County Fair Association.

The Kids Pedal Tractor Pull starts at 11:30 am in front of the grandstand. The Fairest of the Fair will be awarding kids who can pedal the farthest when pulling the mini sled. Tractors are provided, registration and weigh-in start at 11:15 am.

Fill-up on fair food for lunch and be ready at 12:00 Noon because it’s Wristband Day on the Midway! Purchase a $25 wristband and ride as many rides as you can from Noon to 5 pm. If you can’t brave all the rides or want to ride just a few then buy tickets individually for $1.25 each or 20 for $20. Visit our Midway Rides Page for more information.

Starting at 5 pm, get a seat for the 24th annual Celebrity Cream Puff Eating Contest. Uncle Bill will broadcast LIVE during the Barn Show as area celebrities compete against the clock.

LANCO will fill the grandstands, pack the track and floor area with fans on their feet at 8 pm! All seats and standing areas on the track are FREE with paid admission to the Fair. All areas are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. You can stand on the track or sit on the bleachers in the grandstands. After the concert, enjoy music in Radio Park and the Legion Bar Pavilion. Move and groove to FM Rodeo on the Radio Park Stage. This new, young group of musicians will perform from many of the artists you have known to love.  Group members; Adam Fettig – Vocals/Guitar, Anna Zaleski – Vocals/Fiddle/Mandolin, Tony Piontek – Lead Guitar, Zak Dowlding – Bass, and Josh Rudolph – Drums. Request your favorite tunes in the Legion Pavilion by DJ Jeff Hall from 9 to 11:30 pm sponsored by 95X and WBEV 1430AM.

Gate Admission is $7 before 12 pm or $10 after 12 pm.  Age 9 and under FREE. Please no carry-ins. FREE Grandstand and Parking!

Wisconsin Tourism Little Britches Showmanship

Junior Britches Showmanship Contest11:00 am – 12:00 pm

Youth entering grades 3-4 this school year show calves in the Junior Showmanship Contest. Judging will be based on proper showmanship techniques as demonstrated by the participant and how well the calf is trained. Organized by the Dodge County Dairy Youth Advisory Committee, the event was created to help promote interest in the Dairy Project.

Kids age 3 to 12 compete in age and weight classes in the Pedal Pull during the Dodge County Fair. Contestants should arrive 15 minutes early for registration, pedal tractors of different sizes provided.

Open Class Dairy Cattle Judging12:00 pm – 1:30 pm

Animals are exhibited in the farm progress arena by adults or children wearing white pants and a white or colored shirt, belt, and close-toed shoes. Back tags will be provide and should be displayed on the back of each exhibitor.

The Dodge County Fair Association is a State of Wisconsin Corporation formed for the purpose of operating a fairgrounds, which is presently located four (4) miles east of the city of Beaver Dam on State Highway 33 on 40 acres of land, which the Corporation owns. The Association is an IRC (Internal Revenue Code) Sec. 501(c)(3) organization. Your tax-deductible contributions are appreciated to maintain buildings and grounds.
