DODGE COUNTY FAIR

Open Class Farm Crops, Vegetables, and Fruits Judging

Farming has deep roots in Dodge County, and the love for the land is reflected in the exhibits featured in the open-class divisions for farm crops, vegetables, and fruits. Classes include husked corn, corn stalks, threshed corn, grain sheaves, soybean sheaves, hay sheaves, baled slices, and ensiled forages, as well as standard and unusual vegetables, potatoes, and various fruits. For more detailed information on each class, please refer to the open-class exhibitor book.

Judging will take place on Wednesday of the fair at 9 a.m. Awards will be given for first, second, third, and fourth place in each category, and “best entry” awards will also be presented in some classes. Exhibitors and fairgoers are encouraged to sit and observe the judging process.

Sponsors for the farm crops, vegetables, and fruits division include, but are not limited to, the Dodge County Forage Council, Jung’s Seed Company, and the Strohschein Family.
