Knitting and Crocheting Junior Fair

We teach, learn, lead and serve, connecting people with the University of Wisconsin, and engaging with them in transforming lives and communities.  The UW Extension Office answers questions and coordinates the Junior Fair, 4H and FFA Exhibits in the Youth Building and Livestock Barns.  Feel free to contact them with questions or use the comments section below an event to get more information.

The Dodge County Law Enforcement, Shop with the Cops, and Dodge County 4-H invite ALL youth ages 5-10 to attend the “KIDS, COPS and CANINES” Summer Safety Day Camp – Registration deadline June 20th. Registration is required and sessions include Water Safety, Bike Safety, Recreation and more including time with the Dodge County Canine unit. Dairy Fitting Contest

Fitters will compete in two categories; Junior Fitters, grades 4-8 and Senior Fitters, grades 9 and older. Held in the Farm Progress Arena, fitters will have one hour total to fit their animal. Only the head of the animal may be clipped in advance or prior to the contest. Animal care takes center stage during the Sheep Fitting Contest in the Farm Progress Arena on Tuesday night before the Fair. Sheep project youth demonstrate project growth by practicing their fitting skills and competing for prizes sponsored by Plum Creek Farms. Fitters will have one hour total to fit their animal in preparation for the annual Dodge County Fair. Tuesday night before the Fair fitters will be busy in the Farm Progress Arena grooming animals for the annual Dodge County Fair. Junior Britches Showmanship Contest

Little Flock Showmanship Contest

The Poultry Project is pleased to sponsor the Little Flock Showmanship Contest on Sunday in the Small Animal Building. To promote the interest and education of poultry, contestants will demonstrate their knowledge of proper showmanship information and handling techniques.
