Mitchell Motorcycle Transport of Waupun came out in style on Fathers Day at the Dodge County Fairgrounds Speedway. Five lucky dads and their children rode around the pace lap in style in one of their custom rigs. The Dump Bar & Grill Street Stocks took to the track first as James Fletcher jumped out to an early lead followed by Jesse Krahn & Scott Tiedt.The lone caution of the event came on lap 1 for a spin and Fletcher kept his lead on the restart. Craig Lepple pulled up to battle for third by lap 5 only to pull onto infield with mechanical problems. Fletcher stretched his lead out as Krahn tried to play catch up to no avail. Fletcher went on to win his 2nd feature of the season followed by Krahn & Tiedt. Lepple & Krahn were heat race winners.

The Twisted Iron Custom Cycles IMCA Sport Mods pulled onto the track next. Jack Jones grabbed the front spot as the field fought for position behind him. Jeff Schmuhl raced into second spot as Tim Sheppard followed suit. The first caution fell on lap 5 with debree from the 11s car of Schmuhl on the track, forcing him to pull off with a panel hanging. He was able to return before the green came back out as Jones stays out front followed by Sheppard and Brekken Kleinschmidt. Sheppard was tight on the leaders tail and the next lap peeked underneath but was unable to get under Jones. Lap 7 saw the leaders side by side coming out of turn 2 and stay this way till the flag stand as Sheppard overtook the leader. Jones saw his run end on lap 11 as he broke coming into turn 2 bringing out a caution as he left on the hook. Sheppard stayed in front of the pack on the restart and went on to win his first feature of the season as Schmuhl worked his way back up to second followed by Kleinschmidt. Heat winner was Jones.

The Daizy Sweeps Grand National’s pulled onto the track for their feature event. Todd Ascherien powered out front on the drop of the green as Jeff Richards threaded his way between Aaron Streblow & Elijah Koening for second spot. The next few circuits saw Richards trying the low line under Ascherein as he held strong. Richards dived under Ascherien on lap 3 to take the lead. By lap 8 Streblow was gaining ground on second place Ascherien. Streblow tried the high and low groove the next few laps as Ascherien held his ground. Lap 16 saw Streblow tuck his front bumper under the #7 but Ascherien had the high side dialed in. Streblow again went low the next time by and they raced side by side in turns 1 & 2. By lap 18 Richards saw his nice lead gone as they raced up behind him. The white flag saw the top 3 cars closing the gap as Richards stayed out front to take the win followed by Ascherien & Strebelow. Heat wins went to Strebelow & Richards, earning him another clean sweep.

Vic’s Auto Body Sales & Service Furious Fours came out on the track next as they proved their name on the beginning laps, with the top 4 cars in a heated race. Jason Fairbank took the early lead as Jess Ehlers, Mitchell Fairbank & Chad Olds battled it out behind him. On lap 2 Olds took the high side around Jason as Ehlers cuts in the middle for some 3 wide racing action. Olds manages to edge out front followed by Mitchell & Jason. At the halfway mark Olds started feeling the heat from Mitchell as he ducks low and races side by side with the leader. Olds powers back out front as a caution falls on lap 13 with debree on the track. On the restart Olds keeps his top spot as Jason takes second spot only to pull onto infield the next time by with mechanical problems. Olds went on to take his first feature event followed by Mitchell & Ehlers. Ehlers & Mitchell won their heat races earlier in the evening.

The Twisted Iron Custom Cycles IMCA Modifieds pulled onto the track for the last feature event of the evening. Jeremy Christians takes advantage of his front row spot and races out to an early lead followed by Mike Mueller & Tim Robbins. Lap 3 saw the first caution come with a spin and on the restart Mueller ducked low to grab the lead from Christians only to have Christians to reclaim it the next time by. Meanwhile Dan Roedl was working his way thru the pack and gunned his way into second on lap 5 & set his sights on the leader. The leaders were nose to tail the next few laps as Roedl tried the bottom of the track. Christians held his line as Roedl again tries the low groove with no luck. On lap 11 Roedl changed it up and tried the high groove and took over the lead from Christians on the backstretch. The final caution fell on lap 14 with a car into the wall. The restart had the leaders side by side going into turn 1 as Christians manages to come out on top. Roedl had one last shot on the white flag lap but didn’t have enough as Christians got the victory with Mueller in third. Heat winners were Mueller & Christians for a clean sweep.
